Parking fines may be paid at City Hall, 3rd Floor, 200 E. University Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32627, between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays) by cash, check, money order or credit card. An after hours dropbox is available at the entrance of City Hall. You may also mail your payment to: City of Gainesville, Finance Department – Station 45, P.O. Box 490, Gainesville, Florida 32627. Parking citations must be paid within 7 calendar days of the date the violation was issued or additional fees will be incurred.
Paying Your Citation Online
When the payment is processed, records at the City of Gainesville and the Department of Motor Vehicles will be updated accordingly, and the parking citations will be marked as paid. This service is for City of Gainesville issued parking citations only, and does not apply to other City of Gainesville citations or parking citations issued by the University of Florida or other law enforcement agencies.
Failure to comply may result in the assessment of additional costs or the immobilization or impoundment of the vehicle together with associated charges and expenses. The owner of the vehicle is responsible for all fines, fees and costs.

The instructions/addresses for filing the completed form can be found on page 2 of both versions of the Affidavit of Explanation.
The form is also available in the lobby of the Gainesville Police Department’s Administration Building located at 413 NW 8th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32601. The form must be submitted within 7 calendar days of issuance of the citation. The 7 day response period includes weekends and holidays.
