ARPA Funding for Violence Prevention

1. The Forensic Equipment purchased includes equipment to process scenes after violent crime occurs in a neighborhood. We have purchased lighting, screens, ladders, and other items to ensure the proper process of a scene. Currently on order is a brass tacks machine which compares shell casings in multiple crime scenes. We also have an additional forensic truck on order to provide more response to violent crime scenes.

2. Gun Buy Back details focus on providing citizens with gift cards in exchange for firearms. In collaboration with the SAO, we have been able to collect over 100 firearms during these events.

3. Meridian Sponsorship for the Stop the Violence Rally. It is to provide the needed supplies for the community event to prevent violence in our community.
